Title:                Chief Executive Officer (F & B)

 

Location:         Shanghai

 

 

Our client, an international and Hong Kong property conglomerate with headquarters in Shanghai is looking for a high-calibre Chief Executive Officer to run, develop and expand its food and beverage operations in China. This exciting opportunity presents the successful candidate with a strong food & beverage background to venture into strategic and general management of a high growth organization. He/She will have the responsibility for the delivery of the Commercial, Financial and Quality objectives set for the F&B outlets.

 

 

Responsibilities

 

·         Manage effectively the profitability and growth of the F & B division. Actively participate in the development and realisation of overall corporate objectives. Primary P & L accountability and overall management responsibilities over the division.

 

·         Develop and implement the division's annual budget, business/marketing plan, forecasts and operational objectives to meet/exceed management expectations.

 

·         Identify business expansion opportunities through site expansion, identification of suitable sites or through acquisition or JV.

 

·         Promote the division’s outlets to gain a larger share of the local market.

 

·         Develop brand equity and chain dynamics of the division’s brands with the objective to become an independent business unit.

 

 

Requirements

·         Minimum 15 years experience and requires in-depth knowledge of the principles and practices within the F&B/hospitality profession.

·         Must have excellent people management skills and the ability to solve complex problems.

·         Strong leadership skills and strong interpersonal administrative and organizational skills. Must be able to communicate well, motivate and fully committed to building teams and achieving high standards through training.

·         Proven track record in high quality F&B management, good understanding of the international F&B scene and be able to adopt and implement new concepts quickly.

·         Motivated by a passion for great service delivery, innovative, creative and able to focus on quality through initiating continuous improvement.

·         Possesses entrepreneurial flair and yet able to adapt to a corporate environment. He/she must have high level of financial and commercial acumen including budgetary skills

·         Prior working experience in China particularly in Shanghai is a definite advantage. Must be computer literate and able to communicate effectively in both spoken and written English and Mandarin.

·         Good boardroom presentation skills.
